Re: Spiro Users
May 20, 2004
i tried for over a year to get spiro prescribed. finally had to see an endo. Apparently, i have one thing in my blood work that says that i may be over reaactive to testosternone in my system. the endo doesn't know if i have pcos or not...i don't know, i think docs are so myopic sometimes. it's so frustrating when you know in your gut that something will work on you but no one will see it. I've had acne since i was in 6th grade and i'm in my 30's now. in addition i'm excessively hairy. both of these things were deemed "hereditary"...I almost had to bully the endo to give me the spiro. i'm on 50 mg/day plus yasmine and have had no real effects yet but it's only been 1 1/2 weeks...good luck and in my opinion, doctor shop. spiro has no real side affects and, unlike antibiotics, i don't believe it stops working when your body becomes immune to it. i hope to get off the antibiotics soon
