Re: Instead of B5
Jun 24, 2004
Well I was gonna wait a couple more days for an update, but hell why not.

It seems my oil is consistently dropping. In no longer look really shiney in a couple hours(still a little oily, but not as bad). And when I wake up I deffinetely have much less oil on my face than usual. My acne hasn't yet been affected by this regimen, in fact, I just had a breakout yesterday. I'm thinking of upping the dose to anywhere from five to six pills a day. But after doing the math, this would be about 70 bux a month! This regimen is working great but I don't know how I'm going to handle this price tag. Obviously after my skin is clear I can change to a maintenance dose that will only cost me about 30 a month, and I'm fine with that.

Recap
Less oil
Breakouts are still the same
Considering upping the dose

Side Effects
Not urinating as much, thank God. But my urine is a light green color. Literally like a sour apple sucker.

Umm my breath usually smells like pills for a couple minutes, but it goes away pretty fast.

Also using:
Loreal Ideal Balance Foaming Cleanser
Eucerin Daily Control and Care Moisturizer (I don't really need this anymore actually, it just keeps my face soft).

Also, I'm considering starting a sight to log Regimens I've tried and results of them, also to post lesser known options for treating acne. Could anyone with some computer knowledge reccomend good programs for me to buy, or a site that offers in easy to use and cheap site builder. Thanks alot.

I tried B5 for six months. Using a different brand every two months. I saw no change whatsoever in my acne, nor did my oil reduce in the slightest bit. On top of that, I had hairloss, diarreah, and an upset stomach throughout most of the treatment. B5 failed miserably so I will never reccomend it to anyone, nor will I even recognize it as a proper treatment. Mainly because no studies have been done on the long term side effects of such megadoses of B5.

Now as far as the CoA goes. Yes I am paying a fortune on this stuff. But if it gets rid of my acne and oily skin, it'll be worth it. Besides, if this is successful, I can move on to a maintenance dose which will end up being cheaper than what alot of people spend on stuff like ProActive (which did nothing for me as well).
