Slightly less than a year ago I suddenly had acne for the first time, and after a few months of Clinique Acne Solutions Antibacterial Facial Soap, my skin cleared up, and I went with using the Mild soap. I'm noticing more frequent outbreaks, and though they aren't BAD right now, just a few zits everytime, and they clear up rather fast, I don't want them to become worse. Should I be using the acne bar consistantly, even when I don't actually have it at the time (to prevent future reoccurances?)?? Should I treat my skin as though I WERE having an acne breakout, just to prevent it in the future?

I actually just asked my dermatologist that question the other day - whether I would ever be clear and would I have to use topicals continously - and she said YES. Prevention is sometimes difficult coz when our skin looks good, the last thing we're thinking of is topicals.
