Well, the derm just put me on Retin A micro today.

I have very moderate acne. I only have two zits right now because and they are only noticable because i picked at them. But i have all of these closed comedos under the skin that only show up in certain lighting. The derm told me the retin a should take care of them because they were caused by oil.

I guess i was just wondering if the level of acne from person to person (one worse than the other) is why retin A micro would cause someone to break out worse. Basically, I mean if someone has bad acne and takes retin A micro will it make them break out worse than someone who has very mild acne?
Well retin-a works to remove layers of skin and return the skin shedding process back to its stautus quo. By removing skin layers the stuff that is underneath has nowhere to go but up. So all the pimples that have been hiding under the skin are purged to the surface, not all at once, but gradually. This probably means that you will break out, to what extent I have no idea.
