I know that taking vitamin A isn't a good idea. I didn't know that about vitamin E, though. I didn't ingest vitamin E, but I used a little of it on my face to help clear up old red marks. I could be wrong, but I think your derm may have confused vitamins A and E and that A is more like accutane, not E. Again, I may have no clue what I'm talking about but that's what I always thought. Anyway, if you feel you should get a referral to another derm, then I say go for it. You definitely want to make sure that you find someone who knows what he or she is talking about and who makes you comfortable through this whole thing.

I got the Environ products through my derm. The 5 step set cost me $145. Yikes! But it's well worth it. I googled it online and I found the product website but I don't see a place to order it. I was just thinking it may be cheaper that way, but I still have to keep searching online for more info. Anyway, I do think that it would be gentle enough to use while on accutane. My derm told me that the moisturizer contains vitamin A and is similar to Retin-A without the redness associated with using Retin-A.
