I was put on oxytetracycline (2 x 250mg twice a day, an hour before or two hours after food, no dairy) about 5 weeks ago for my "moderate" acne (though it can get cystic at times), I've not noticed any improvment yet - how long should it take to "kick in" and should the improvements continue over the next few months?

I've been on antibiotic treatment before (minocycline, for 3 years), which was fantastic (no inflamed spots for at least 2 years, just whiteheads), and started clearing me up within a few weeks, but I think I got resistant to it, as my acne started to come back eventually, so I came off it (and had a bad flare-up). I've heard oxytetracycline is weaker though. Also I think more people are resistant to it, so perhaps I'm already resistant? What do people think? Thanks
