i also have irregular periods but not the cramps. i still have acne on my jawline and cheeks. i was on birth control for about 4-5 years (orth-tricyclen) and it did help a little, my acne never went away but it did decrease. well i went off bcp about 8 months ago and my acne flared up for about 4 months as my body was readjusting it's hormones. well my skin has finally calmed down, i still have some breakouts but they are much better. so just a word of caution about bcp just know that when you stop taking it the acne will come back with a vengence!
