I went on a low dose of antibiotics for my skin along with Differin gel and Klaron lotion - the combo of the three worked really well, first time in my life where I didn't have very bad acne popping up every day and horrible cyst breakouts during my period. I was only to be on the anti-D for two months. What I had feared has come true - once the they were all finished, and I'm left with just the topical meds, the acne slowly started coming back and now I wake up with three new breakouts every morning. My face is getting revenge, I have so many pimples all around my lips and on my chin. I just can't take it anymore. I really, really hoped that I found something that would help me once and for all and that I could move on with my life. I'm so sick and tired and annoyed PLEASE any advice? Does this mean I need to be on an antibiotic forever? Will I ever "grow out" of acne? (I'm 24 yo female). I don't get it, WHY can't the topical stuff staff it off?

PLEASE I beg, any feedback, any advice, I am at my wits end! Is there such a thing as a topical antibiotic gel or something very strong like that?? NOTHING OTC works for me.

Thanx so much in advance!!
I don't know if u have already tried, but u should try a natural treatment that starts internally. You can try everything topical there is, but if your insides are toxic, it's pointless. Your symptoms sound pretty close to what I was experiencing. I discovered that I have a vitamin deficiancy. I'm 26 & it's due to years of drinking & smoking, eating not the healthiest diet & also antibiotics. Antibiotics are like putting a band-aid on a bigger problem. They temporarily relieve your symptoms, but once you stop they will come back with avengance. I developed the WORST case of acne after getting of doxycycline ( anti- for acne). So, after months & months of research, I started by taking a multi-vitamin. The body needs a sufficient amount of Vitmain A, B, C, E, K, & also minerals like zinc and chromium. I also take a higher dosage of Vitamin A, C & E,zinc & fish oil. You must be careful with A & E & zinc, they are stored in fat cells & can become toxic if u take too much. Zinc should always be taken w/ a copper supplement because it can interfere w/ it absorption. My acne has improved so much in 3 WEEKS!! (But I should see totally clear results after 2 months). I can feel my skin becoming healthy. I just have some scars & hyperpigmentation. Please research on your own & find the solution for your body. Dont' give up! Acne is like an alarm telling u there is something wrong inside. People develop it for different reasons. Good Luck w/ your fight!!! :)

The acne you are describing sounds hormonal. You might try tackling the problem that way i.e. birth control pills. My niece just told me that the combo of bc pills and minocycline keeps her clear.
