I've been using Retin-A 0.025% cream + doxycyline for over a year. I went to the derm, and he gave me Clindamycin lotion + Minocycline to take instead of the Doxy. Anyone have any experiences with this combo? I'd love to hear about how they worked. Thanks! :)
I'm using retinA micro and clindamycin gel and it has worked really well so far for me. It has been about 10 weeks. My derm prescribed doxy too but I refused to take it. I took way to many antibiotics in the past for ance and decided not to do it anymore. I decided to do the colon cleanse instead. I think the retinA and clindamycin lotion is a really good conbination.
I also was prescribed minocycline by my idiot derm (I told her NO antibiotics) and nevre took it. I went to a doctor who actually listened and talked to me, and now I'm currently using Differin (a much gentler form of topical vitamin A) and Benzaclin (benzoyl peroxide and clindamycin gel). It's only been about a week or so, but so far the cysts I had are finally clearing up AND fading (usually takes months for this). I am purging a bit, but its more of the small whiteheads that aren't too red and I can TOTALLY deal with, as opposed to cysts.

I've heard of a lot of people who have had sucess on a topical retinoid + clindamycin (or Benzaclin).
