Re: Acne scars
Aug 1, 2006
From your description I gather you're talking about acne scars that are pitted. Can you tell how deep they are? I had 5 pits on my forehead - about 2mm deep, three of them were totally filled in and the other two 99% after a year's use of Silkia camellia oil and Epidermx microdermabrasion. I have another 3 pits above my upper lip and they are much improved though not as great as those on the forehead.

If your pits are not very deep, I recommend you try these products too. They really help but it takes time and won't give you fast results in just 2 or 3months. If your pits are really deep, I don't know if they will help. You may have to look at some cosmetic procedures. Did you just do one laser treatment? That of course will not give you any results. You normally have to do a couple of treatments to see some improvement and even so that doesn't guarantee your scars will be rid of completely.

Hey waterlilly, Thanks for your advice. On one side of my face the scars are pittted its where their were a few spots together so think it makes look deeper due to that. On the other side only one small part is affected & it is slighty raised scarring cant remember what the gp called it...but trust me to get two different types! I had three laser sessions i know it isnt 100% guaranteed to work but thought there would be some improvement. I will try what you have recommended & let you know how i get on :)
