Retin-a-micro
Sep 19, 2003
I am currently on retin-a-micro .04 % and it's been 6 weeks and it seems a little better...if i switch to the .1% because my skin is still oily will i have another initial break out because of the higher strength? I am really frustrated...please help!

You should switch to retin-a-micro either .04% or .1%. It is gentler on the skin then retin-a gel becasue it uses microspeheres to delever the tretionoin gradually over time. This causes alot less irritation in most people. I am on the retin-a-micro .04% and my skin tolerates it just fine...and i have sesative skin. My skin is a little dry and tight right after i wash my face but this should be expected in acne treatments. I am actually thinking about switching to the .1% because my skin seems to oily but i'm afraid the stronger kind might dry my skin out to much and then my skin will produce more oil to counteract. Hope this helps.
