Hey, everyone!

It's been several years since I have posted. It's good to be back! While I was gone, I got married to a wonderful husband and started a successful career as a high school teacher. Life has been great!

Now, my husband and I are talking about starting a family. I have been on birth control for nearly 10 years, and I'm worried about what changes my body will go through when I go off. First of all, I temporarily went off of it for two months during college. During those two months, I had to take Plan B (because I was young and stupid) and then I got right back on BC. A few weeks later, my face began to break out like crazy. Acne lasted for about four months after that until my hormones regulated again since I was back on BC.

I want to prevent the horrendous break out from happening again, but I was wondering if anyone had tips on how to do so? I've done a little research... I have Evening Primrose Oil to start taking after I stop the pill; I also bought some Apple Cider Vinegar and Zinc. Any other suggestions?

I've also considered weaning myself off the pill by cutting them in half next month and then by taking half every other day the following month before stopping cold-turkey. (I know that won't protect me against pregnancy, but that's okay!) I can't find anything online that supports or refutes that idea...what do you think?
