No it won't hurt to try. I take 8000mgs. per day for moderate acne. The main thing the b5 does is stop the oiliness.

An average dose is 5000mgs. per day you may need more to stop the oily forehead and its ok to take up to 10,000 or more mgs. per day. The only side effects are gastro intestinal which I didn't even get.

Just adjust your dose. If you don't see improvement after 5 days or so go ahead and up it. I don't have any side effects at all. Just clearer, less oily skin.

B5 is a water soluble vitamin so what your body can't you will eliminate.
