DO NOT be fooled by Proactiv!!! The only reason i signed up for this message board today is so i can reply to this one and only post, now listen. I am 17/male and lets see, i am in the same position as Angela. I have the red spots and no blemishes, but ppl still think those are zits, i don't have much , only some on my cheeks left. Now i developed pimples when i was 14 because of chocolate. First i used to squeeze and squeeze which made things worse. then i bought a bunch of creams, none of which worked except one by clearsil, it's not in production any more though. I had red marks but a lot of them faded away over time, usually after a good summer of tanning. FOr example before summer here in canada we hardly have sun, after summer, u can't even notice any spots on my face after i get a nice tan. Anyway, back to the point. I made my mom get proactiv, it was the biggest piece of s*** i could ever buy. First of all, it doesn't do ANY wonders like the ones u see on the commerical, TRUST ME. Now what WORKS!! one word ACCUTANE, believe me not only does it work great, it's simply the best, the only really bad side effect is that it dries ur lips really bad, but i dunno today is my last day and this is the second time i have taken it, first time it cleared up my face great, so i thought that i can never get a zit, guess what i started eating chocolate like mad and then i got so many zits it was out of control, so i went on accuatane again, now my face cleared up, accuate also if taken in small doses over a long period of time it gets ride of red marks, and believe me it does work, it made my red spots soo much smaller and i am 100% serious. so please whatever you do, don't buy proactiv, it's pure BS that gets ur hopes up and does NOTHING.

i don't know if i will ever reply back or whatever becase i am not sure i will come to this board again, i simply don't need to. So i wish you all luck and the best. Just keep in mind there are solutions, u just have to experiment, and what worked for me was accutane thank god. And chocolate DOES cause pimples in my case it did, i had proven it to myself a dozen times over the past 3 years so believe me i know what i am talking about. Also if u want to get ur pimples to stop developing and u want to naturally start controlling them without going on medication, well drinking 2 litres of water helped me. I have tried, creams, alchohol, masks, lemon on my face (works, but not too well), medication, drinking a lot of water, diets.

The basics to getting rid of acne
-good medication (Accutane)
-lots of water
-go on a diet DIET (lots of fruits and veggies, NO BANNANAS because they contain protein, and in many cases lots of protein causes acne) and take as little suger as possible <---- VERY IMPORTANT
if u do these 3 things i am very positive that within 3 months u will hardly have any acne, i wish i knew this when i was younger.
ok i am outie, l8z
