I hope you have better luck with Azelex than I did. I asked my GP to try it right after it came on the market. She had never heard of it and made me get her more info on it before she would prescribe it. I got the package insert infor from a pharmacist and took it to her. She finally wrote me the prescription and I tried it. I was very, very disappointed. It made my face worse not better. I hope it works better for you.

Right now I'm taking spironolactone 50 mg/day, washing my face with Stridex Foaming face wash, using Purpose moisturizer, using the Neutrogena makeup with Salcylic Acid and applying Mederma at night to soften appearance of my scars. My face has never looked better.

I might also mention that I take Thyroid replacement hormone for hypothyroidism. Although I suspect that there is a relationship between my thyroid disease and my acne, I can't find any research that supports this theory.
