I tried Proactiv for about 6 months. It did nothing for the acne on my cheeks/chin/jawline that were always there (maybe made the skin a little more red). And, as an added bonus, my normally 100% clear forehead became covered with tiny red bumps. My forehead did clear up after I stopped Proactiv.

But, d***, that infomercial is convincing. A few weeks ago I was watching it again and thought "Hmmm, maybe I should give Proactiv another try." The urge went away after the infomercial was over.
I have very mild acne and have used Proactiv sporatically for the past year or so. It really didn't do anything except irritate my skin. I've got very sensitive skin and despite the "gentle" ingredients, it was too much for my skin. It did however help keep those tiny hard bumps off my forehead (you know, the ones that aren't red or inflamed but sit on your face for months before they go away!) I've sworn off the cleanser and toner and just use the repairing lotion very sparingly on my forehead once or twice a week. If I use it anywhere else, my skin gets very angry, plus, I hate the way it makes my skin feel. Not smooth and soft like it's supposed to - after I put it on, I can feel every single little bump and see every single pore. And it makes your skin feel so tight! But different things work for different people. Try it and see if it works, if not, you can return it for a refund, even if the bottles are empty.
