I use Sage 12% and 20% Glycolic Acid Smoothing Creams. I use their whole line of skin care products and just can't live without them. The only thing I can say about their glycolic acid products besides the fact that I love them is that I wouldn't recommend using them on really active, inflammatory acne. If your acne is mild and non-inflammatory like mine, the stuff works wonders. Otherwise, I'd recommend waiting to use high percentage acids until your skin is relatively clear. You can also get a 20% Smoothing Gel, but I found that just a tad too rough on my skin, but will probably be excellent for the summer. The price seems to be very high (2oz for $45) but 2oz will easily last a year since you only use a pea sized amount.

If the idea of using a 20% cream or gel on your face scares you, you should check out Paula's Choice 1% BHA solution. It seems like a very low percentage, but it really is effective and I know a few ladies on this board who swear by it - me included. I prefer the PC 1% BHA over the Sage 1% BHA (the only product that didn't wow me) so I use PC instead. I know it must sound like I'm using alot of acids on my face at one time (I use both the 1% BHA and 12% and 20% creams every day) but despite having pretty sensitive skin, I have not had a single problem with irritation or dryness from any of them and am having really amazing results...even after one week =)

Hi!
Do you use these products for red acne scars or just smoothing skin texture? I have red acne scars that I am desperate to be rid of.
Thank you
