Man, I have tried soo many different things over the years..
When I was younger (12-17) I must have tried a 100 different things to
help with my acne. Most of these were drugstore/doctor prescribed, and only
in the last few years have I decided to go as natural as possible in my
route to healthier happier skin. When I was younger I had quite severe acne
and it incredibly hindered my ability to be social and live a full young life..
I hid away and was depressed for most of my teenage years. ANYWHO! haha.. My acne isn't as severe now but still persistant and still hurts my self esteem, but has become less painful because of my new little friend - my aloe vera plant (I call him Al:)..).

Seriously, hands down the only thing that has ever worked for me, not only lessening my acne but also helping with my skin's texture, my old acne scars, redness, etc. It's very calming and makes my skin happy:). It HASN'T cured me of acne - I'm still looking into various other natural ways to completely rid of it) but it lessens the acne I already have and makes my skin calm and way more manageable. Again I'm not prescribing it as a acne cure, just as something that really really helps me in managing it:).

I use it as a spot treatment daily too and it works wonderfully that way too. I also use a milk cleanser that is organic (Laverna) and made with Aloe Vera (can't get enough aha..) and that's wonderful too. I recommend Aloe Vera to anyone who asks me about acne treatment (not many so I'm really trying to spread the word here!) because it has helped me to become so much more psychologically well - acne is mostly that, a pscyhological hell, and I would like to share my love for Aloe Vera in hopes of making that hell a little (A LOT!!) more bareable for someone who also might benefit from it.

It's natural (from the plant) and is very soothing and calming and therefore wouldn't hurt to try at all.. I would love to hear some feedback on other people who have tried it, similar experiences..
You can also buy it in the bottle form and I use it when I don't have an aloe vera plant handy (travelling, etc.) but I do know there are other ingredients that are added that might not be all natural.. but the bottled kind never aggravates my skin and works the same in my case.

I LOVE ALOE VERA!!
Hope this helps someone.. I have struggled with acne and know how it hurts
your soul to keep trying sometimes, and so I can't help but share my experience with aloe vera..GOOD LUCK!
