I woke up Wednesday morning with small whiteheads all around my mouth. I had shaved Tuesday night, but this has never happened to me before. The picture is from today (thursday). What caused this overnight onset? and should I be concerned about herpes or something else?

I don't think you need to worry about herpes, that is usually red bumps that bleed from time to time. Razors usually carry a lot of bacteria and when shaving with warm water it opens your pores and the bacteria will get trapped under your skin. Make sure you clean your razor very well with soap and water or vinegar, and change your razor a lot. To get rid of the white heads try boiling water in a pot then put your face over the pot after its boiled and a towel over your head and the pot to make a tent. Steam your face for 5 minutes, this will open your pores to let the dirt out. Right after rinse your face in cool water and then soak your chin for 20 minutes in 2 tbsp of Epsom Salt (bought at any drug store) and lukewarm water. It seems like a lot but it works. Do this once a day when you can or when ever you have white heads.
