My last effort has been using retin-a nightly for the past 14 months, along with doxycycline and generic ortho tri-cyclen. My acne definitely improved (for awhile, I was almost completely clear), but the past couple months my skin has gone downhill fast... (4 replies)
... You do have a point, its a tough choice though. My skin has always been a problem & continues to be post-accutane - although I did get some improvement. I'm 33 & had perfectly wrinkle free skin. My skin never returned to its pre-accutane oil-slick state though, & now I have some fine lines on my forehead - which were NOT there before. Its just another issue that's depressing... (1 replies)

... Well, if you've ever seen someone older that had really bad acne it just looks like really bad wrinkles. So, I'd say you're better off w/ Accutane. Although ChevyFan, I really think that 60mg. a day is way too high. I've been doing a lot of research on Accutane and 20-30mg. would be enough to get good results. Also, I woke up with a small (but painful) whitehead on my jawline. In my... (26 replies)
