... Not at all. I wash my face, wait 10 minutes for it to dry, then put the Taz on my face, arms, chest, back, and shoulders. Then I take a Bactrum pill. My arms look slightly better, but everything else looks just the same. All it has done for me is make my skin peel. ... (1 replies)
... o but its been harder than expected for me to actually take that first pill, knowing that quite possibly as a result of the Accutane and the decreasing amount of Bactrum in my system, that my skin will break out once again. Sucks...but I guess I'm going to have to deal with it. ... (7 replies)
... with the exception of Accutane (which I tried once, worked fine) was Bactrum. My acne was bad to the point that when I scraped my skin with a fingernail or scrubbed with a toner/astringent on cotton to get substantial residue. I also had plenty of blackheads on my nose. But while on Bactrum, I had none of that--much fewer cysts and virtually no pimples; no blackheads on... (1 replies)

... I take it all at one time at night before I go to bed. I have never taken bactrum for acne, but know others do and it seems to help. ... (45 replies)

... Some people have terribly scarring acne so don't say Accutane is not good. There are some risks, but if your acne is scarring up your face what alternative do you really have? (6 replies)
... I'm heading out to Mexico in a month, but I'm taking acne drugs and will probably need some help from you guys on everything to use. My face is 99% clear (I get a pimple every now and then) but my chest and back still have some problems. They feel pretty smooth, but don't look that good because the red marks are so prevalent. Here's what I'm on: Tazorac .1% cream,... (0 replies)
... Tazorac didn't do nothing for me either. However, differin helped me to some degree but stopped working after few months. I would consider taking some herbal teas like milk thistle, burdrock root before accutane because the problem could be candida. Or, you could try a colon cleanse to see if it has any effect on ur acne. (1 replies)
... My only experience with Tazorac was with my oldest daughter who suffers with eczema on her scalp. HOWEVER! I will offer a bit of GOOD ADVICE to you for any kind of skin problem - WATER WATER WATER! Drink as much water as you can stand, more than what you usually drink; it is the golden cure for most skin problems and especially if you are using a prescription medication... (3 replies)
... So, my skin should start to improve in a little bit by then? I'm hoping, because I have swimming in gym in 4 weeks... (3 replies)
... As much as it sucks and this is not what you want to hear, the Taz just takes time. I have been on it for a little over 2 months, and I promise you it gets better. Tazorac works by bringing everything to the surface. The first month, my skin was HORRIBLE... I know how frustrated you feel. Please just know that you can make it through the tough initial month, and only good... (3 replies)
... I am far worse than before I got on Tazorac. My face is REALLY bumpy now--it used to be fairly smooth, but now it's SO bumpy. I'm starting to break out near my jawline more and more. My face just looks worse. I thought it was going to be improving by a month, but it's not--AT ALL. I'm really becoming frustrated. Does anyone have any positive stories that will convince... ... yeah that sounds about right. I don't think I'll ever go on Accutane. If it comes to the point where I'm not clear in 3 months from now I might consider it, but really I think I'll try to take a multi-vitamin and try to take in as much Vitamin A as possible. Doesn't Accutane deliver something like 300,000 IU's of Vitamin A or something? I can't imagine what that can do to a... (6 replies)

... I'm on it right now and it seems to work really well, but every three weeks or so I have a pretty bad flare up, but that's just what I've noticed. After that it typically improves better than it was before. I am trying to change my diet and get some vitamins into it. I really do not get anything that is good for me in my daily diet. I really need to evaluate the role my diet... (6 replies)
... Tazorac absolutely KILLED my face about a year ago. But it was really the only option left before Accutane after having no luck with Differin, Retin-A, and plenty of different anti-biotics. Now I have a new dermatologist who seems much more knowledgeable, and he said he really wants me to try this because he honestly thinks that it'll work for me. I was a bit embarassed... (0 replies)

... My lil' sis who is 16 just got prescribed Bactrim about three weeks ago. She had pretty severe acne, and her skin is really, truly, clearing up nicely!!!! Worked pretty quick, and she's getting better every day. I hope you have the same results :) Good luck. (6 replies)

... Classify your acne before you started Amoxicillan. I've tried Mino, Tetra, Doxy, Bactrum, and Accutane with no luck so far. When I go back next month I'll ask him about it. Trigg (3 replies)
