... Hi Guys: The derm never heard of Perricone or ALA, but wanted to sell me some stuff with AHA. She said I should see improvement with that product and could use it with RetinA Micro. I took a pamphlet, but I am not too impressed. It didn't mention anything about working on scars or reducing pores. The products contained 8-10% glycolic acid. Needless to say, I ordered... ... pharmacyman, do you know what brand of peels you had done, and, where'd you have them done at, a derm's or ps's office? i was thinking, they shouldn't burn all that much. especially a 30% one. my 40% one, at worst, stung a little. granted, the 50% was worse, but easily bearable all the same. they give you a little fan though, but i didn't have to use it this time. it would... ... that might be too strong for a first peel. i'd do a 50% or so, but, you likely won't have any problems from it. i doubt you'll be able to wear make-up though the next day. your skin won't look bad really, it'll just be a little flaky most likely. probably gonna make it hard to put on make-up. what are you getting the peels for? do you have mild to moderate scarring, redness... ... praise this stuff because it's gentle, but gentle doesn't work when your skin has all these things going on. It needs something stronger, is that why you defend glycolic acid, it has a better fighting chance? ... (26 replies)
