... hot water is definatly bad, freezing cold water i think will have the same effect in irritating the skin and acne. my advice would be to either have a luke warm shower or wash your face seperatly afterwards..i started doing this when i heard someone talking about how much junk gets in the shower head and that all washes onto your face in the unless your shower head... Sebum is actually a mechanism to stop persperation evapourating so quickly in cold (less humid) weather to stop skin drying out.
