... o offer you any real advice but when i get painfull spots i take ibuprofen which ease the pain and do eventually reduce inflamation, you say that you can't affor hydrocortisone shots so would it be worth applying hydrocortisone cream to see if that reduces the swelling overnight? ... ... The best thing I can recommend is 'Hydrocortisone Cream' you can buy it anywhere and it basically reduces inflammation. It states that you shouldn't use it on face or acne but I did and I had no reaction at all and it noticeably reduced the swelling. My advice to you is not to touch or press it or you'll make it worse. In the mean time just have a hot compress against it- hold... (8 replies)

... Hey that's a good idea with the hydrocortisone b/c isn't it supposed to reduce swelling?! I put polysporin (antibiotic ointment) on the whiteheads I get if they sorta 'pop' on their own from washing and accidentally scratching them (yup, its happened to me and it sucks!), and then put a bandage on them and it works great to reduce the size initially! ... to get rid of cyst, i use a diaper rash cream i found at rite-aid with 40% zinc oxide. but a big dab on the cyst at night, and cover up with a round band-aid. repeat, and after about 3 to 4 nights, the cyst will pop and go away. doing the same with a 1% hydrocortisone helps as well. (7 replies)
