... Have you tried anything else other than Minocycline? Cause if you havent he'll probably put you on another pill and topical, then if you fail that i'm pretty sure you are a candidate for accutane. (6 replies)

... Hey! I have been using Differin for two months now and it cleared about 80 % of my face up. I use it at night and used to use Benzaclyn daytime. I thought my skin was so dry, I could not get out of the house, but guess what. The dryness went away after a month using differin and benzaclyn does not dry me out either. Do not listen to anything, what they say here. Just... (6 replies)

... See, the problem is, no one here can tell you "Oh, I know what's wrong, here's your cure". All of us are still searching, and for many (including myself), the search has and will take years. I don't think cetaphil is too harsh to use twice a day, however, some people have reacted negatively to cetaphil, so perhaps you should try a different cleanser for a week to see what... (3 replies)

... Hey there, I'm 16. I have pretty severe acne on my face, and moderate bacne. I've tried steivamycin, minocycline, birth control. I'm now on day 13 of Accutane. I have pretty oily skin, and a fair amount of acne scars, unfortunatly. I've had acne since I was about 11. (8 replies)
... There are lots of other antibiotics that can work for acne beside minocycline (mino--by the way--did not work for my daughter or I). I can't believe your derms are not switching you to something else. Try the other antibiotics before going to Accutane. You might have some luck. We both found different ones worked for us (and not even the same ones between the two of us). ... (15 replies)
... I wanted to share what I did, Differin gel and Cleocin T lotion, along with Minocycline 1 x day worked for me. I was afraid to try Accutane, but I'm sure it does work... just thought there were too many side effects for me. ... (7 replies)

... It's been awhile since I've been on meds cuz of insurance reasons. But the last two I remember were minocycline and doxycycline. The derm was gonna give me accutane ,but because I was another med for anxiety and for my compulsive pickng they recommended doxy instead. ... (3 replies)
... I cannot comment on Accutane..........I have never used it and if a doctor feels you do not warrant it, then you don't, and count yourself lucky. I have recently added Klaron lotion to my regimen of Minocycline 100mgs 2x a day and retin A micro 1% evenings. I like the Klaron so far(12 days). No initial break out, no excesive dryness or other side effects. My only... (15 replies)
