... To answer that question, I would like to know what you have already tried. I don't know what other people's experiences have been with dermatologists but I don't think too highly of them after a few years. Most Derms who do all of this additional stuff on the side, like laser treatment, hair removal, etc. are only interested in making money. Thus, they will eventually start... (2 replies)

... except accutane i refuse to go on that! ... (3 replies)
... I just wanted to start this topic so that everyone that is or has been on a prescribed medication can post the side effects or any results. I personally have been on Accutane, Tetracycline, Minocycline, Monodox, Benzamycin, Cleocin, and Differin. None of which have done a DARN thing! I have no intention on EVER going back to a dermatologist. I have had better results... (2 replies)

... OK, I decided to post a diary on my experience with SAGE skin care. I want to post it because I have heard so many wonderful things about the product and want to give an honest review for you guys to see. I will use these products faithfully for at least 8 weeks and try to update once a week or so. I have been suffering fron acne since I was 16, I'm 21 now. I have... (9 replies)
... I have done the antibiotic roller coaster. I hope you realize that antibiotics cause the acne to build up a resistance against it, and it comes back stronger and worst than ever. Minocycline did horrible things to my immune system -- I am still recovering! I really thought I was going to die -- weakness, fatigue, tremor, vertigo... I will never take it agian, even... ... tetracycline may work, but I think in general minocycline is the stronger drug, usually you start our the tetracycline and once you build a tolerance you move to mino. I suggest asking your derm about Septra. ... (5 replies)

... I am just so frustrated. I still do get acne, and I am so sick of taking antibiotics to treat it. I am considering Accutane very seriously because my siblings have all taken it and it has made their skin beautiful. Any feedback is welcome. ... (2 replies)
... I went to the derm today and she prescribed Minocycline, Differen, and something called Triad 3% (sp?). I'm wondering if I should even take the antibiotics because my acne could possibly come back worse or I could become immune to Mino in the long run. I have very persistent moderate acne and it's getting worse by the day. I have some pretty intense scarring and have... (23 replies)

... If I had the choice, if i had the money, I would go on accutane myself....but, I have faith in Oldguy's regimen. ... (6 replies)
... Unfortuantely I know that already...I was on minocycline and tazorac with great results for 6 monthes...then my derm lowered my dosage and a month after I stopped taking it things went back to the way they used to be. ... (6 replies)
