... Soap is definately not the way to go. First of all, it is alkaline, human skin is slightly acidic, and bacteria thrive in alkaline conditions. Second of all, alkaline products cause surface dehydration, which traps oil underneath the skin, causing BREAKOUTS -loads of closed comedones (whiteheads) and open comedones (blackheads) and papules and pustules. ... actually tazorac has worked great for me. it made me red and peeled a lil at first. but it was nothing that a lil non comedogenic moisturizer wouldnt fix. i had a REALLY bad breakout and i used it on my cystic acne. it made my comedones launch out of my face in about two days and they healed up nicely. ...
