First off, let me say that everyone is different and responds differently to meds. I was on adderallxr 30 mg for 2 weeks, and it made me feel "abnormal" and prior to that I was taking generic ritalin 10mg 3 times a day and I felt more focused and normal. I just went back on ritalin a week ago, and since I stopped the adderall and went to ritalin, I've been feeling very tired and weak. Although I'm starting to feel normal again, like today. I slept so much the week I've been off it. This leads me to believe that adderall is highly addictive and in my experience, more than ritalin because I quit takin ritalin cold turkey a few years ago without any problems. Adderall is stronger, and I feel that it is probably a better choice for those who need stronger meds depending on the severity of the symptoms. But, I do know that adderall withdrawl can be tough, even though I went right into a different drug(ritalin), I still felt like I needed adderall to function. I don't know, everyone is different. I finally enjoy my veggies and healthy foods again, but while takin adderall, I could only eat fattening foods and it was a small amount. I lost 8 pounds in 2 weeks, and I felt that if I stayed on adderall, my cholesterol would shoot up because I couldn't eat my healthy foods like fruits and veggies cause I just wanted to puke looking at it.
