I've heard back and forth that cutting out the sugar helps cut back on the hyperactivity...etc...but does it really? I want to know if anyone has had success with this. I know my grandson probably needs to stay on the meds (straterra) but will diet help too? The dr. just increased his dosage...and he did well for a few weeks..but back to making bad behaviour grades in school again..and the teachers aren't much help with suggestions or anything. It's so frustrating..and my daughter..is at her wits end with him. He's 8 now..in second grade and been taking meds since kindergarten. I wonder..if changing his meds to another kind all together will help. Perhaps his body has become too use to Straterra..and he needs to change. We are so confused.
