How long have you been on the Effexor now? If it's less than a month, I would give it more time.

That said, there are still other antidepressants to try, my fiance took Prozac for some time, and eventually switched to Celexa and they worked wonders for her. Just watch for worsening depression, as with me, the Celexa caused severe depression, so you need to be aware of worsening depression and especially of suicidal thoughts. With either, get your butt back to the doctor and find out what's going on.

I would also consider increasing your Adderall slightly and see if that helps. With many of us, depression follows ADD because we fail at most everything we try. Once we're treated for the ADD, we find the depression lessens, because we don't fail as much. At the same time, stimulants can be used for depression that is unresponsive to standard antidepressants, so a slight increase in the Adderall may help all around.

I would look at therapy if I were you as well. Medicine is great, but often doesn't work in a vaccuum, you need to find a way to rectify the causes of your depression, and a counsellor may be able to help you in identifying and addressing those issues.
