Re: Straterra
Apr 9, 2003
CMMG, I think you should take your son to a Ophthalmologist to have his eyes check out as people with narrow angle glaucoma should not take Strattera. The eye pressure will build up and that may be the cause of his eyes hurting. I am unable to provide more info but you may want to search the topic of Narrow angle glaucoma and read up on it. Please be cautious and take him to a doctor soon.

Webedes, my son is on 2x18 mg of Strattera and his doctor instructed us to give them to him in the morning. I have noticed that his good improvement in attention has actually gone away with his target dose of 36mg. So, I have changed and give him one 18mg in the morning and another 18mg after dinner, I have also supplement him with fish oil and he is back to doing much better in school. I can't say for sure whether the spliting of med into morning and night or the fish oil has helped, but it does work better now and I am sticking to this routine as long as it works! So, you may want to try to stick to his target dosage but split it up and give it to him two times a day instead. Good luck to you!
