Okay, I'm a recently diagnosed adult (34 yrs.) with ADD. I'm taking Concerta 36 mg. and 18 mg. offset by 3 hrs. 7 AM and 10 AM to extend the day and taper into the evening.

It's helpful, but not quite "right" I'm better, but still drinking a morning and afternoon pot of coffee to calm myself down and work. I still have a very hard time paying attention to bookeeping, clerical and admin duties (much better than I used to be though).

Here's my question. Dr. says I'm at the max dosage for concerta according to PDR. My side effects are mostly stomach cramps.

Have any of you taken more than this (54 mg.) daily? Have any of you adults taken concerta and Dexedrine and Adderall (not all at once). Does Adderall or Dexedrine upset your stomach? do they work quicker or better than concerta at lower dosages? I really feel like I'm on the right track here, I just need to find the right balance of dosage and tolerable side effects.

Thanks for any help.
