Strattera - Gasping for air?

Hello all,

I am 27/female, and my pdoc prescribed me 40mg Strattera 4 days ago, to take one at bedtime. All blood/thyroid/blood sugar levels were A-Ok.

Last night I was falling asleep, and was startled awake gasping for breath for a second...like my brain forgot to breath. Weird...I've never had any breathing issues in my life. I have stopped drinking (it wasn't a problem before but still) while giving this med a shot. I did take 2 Advil earlier in the day for a leg cramp, that's it.

Other side effects I noticed was daytime sleepiness, extreme itchiness of the skin/scalp, & cognitive issues like forgetting letters when writing or typing words. No change so far in attention span. :-/

I have no health insurance sooo if this keeps up, I'm definitely NOT going to keep with it.

Anyone else deal with the breathing issues?
