My 8 yr old daughter has been on either Concerta or AdderallXR for 2 years now for severe ADHD. Her body got used to these meds & stopped working for her (darn it), so she's now on 40mg of Strattera.

My concern is: she's been on Strattera for a week now, along w/ 20mg of Adderall. As of right now, she has to take the Adderall with it because the Strattera is not doing a thing! How soon should I notice the Strattera working for her? And will the Strattera alone work for her or will she always have to take a stimulant with it? I know my last question is hard to answer (differs with each person/child) but do you have any idea for HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR THE STRATTERA TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE? I'm wanting to know so I'll have an idea as to should she stop or continue the Strattera. Her doc said I should notice a difference within 2-5 days. If that's the case, the Strattera isn't for her. Ugh!

Any personal experience would be greatly appreciated!!
