Please follow-through with the ADHD specialist/psychiatrist... Your instincts are correct.
I spent a great deal of time self-medicating with alcohol and drugs before seeking professional help. I am currently taking 60mgs of Prozac with 40mgs of Strattera. Prozac obviously for depression, and the Strattera for ADD/Inattentive focus issues. It helps,
however AA is my saving grace. I agree with Dowdall, it's a tough road, but you've started early to remedy your situation. Alcohol and Drugs are a debilitating way to go. Fear damn near killed me.

thank you christine, buel and dowdall for the responses, i just started on strattera and things are going better.
