... I think you are right. These aren't meds in the classic sense, they are basically toxic drugs that have "positive" side effects of hightened alertness and focus, but do have dependancy/tolerance/withdrawals issues and have alot of negative health effects; they also are recently connected to developing major clinical depression over many years of use. ... I don't know any doctors. But, who needs one to get off meds anyway; most of the time they wean people off way too fast... I think maybe to insure people will come running back to get on again? You do need a doctor to continue getting the supply of adderall, though, while she weans. I think there may be some tapering/withdrawal sites out on the internet you could look up. I... (5 replies)
