... In answer to your question about withdrawals from Strattera. My son (now 18 & no longer medicated) was placed on Strattera when it was still considered a "new" drug. He too was a thin boy...but mostly due to high energy levels and genetics. He did not lose weight while on the drug, but he did have a difference in appetite. I would give him weekend and school break holidays... (2 replies)

... In my opinion, a person could become addicted to Ritalin. It is a stimulant that you can take to assist your concentration. I would take too many but that is just me. I have heard that Ritalin can do amazing things for people suffering from ADD or ADHD. What is the dose she is on if you don't mind me asking? As long as she takes it as perscribed, she will be fine. ... NO NO NO! Switch doctors. Do not just keep increasing your dosage! Dexedrine (Adderall) is a HIGHLY addictive amphetamine. When it stops working, stop taking it altogether for a week.
