... Our daughter had hives at the beginning of her strattera treatment.....lasted about a week and went the time I was not clear that meds were causing the hives but in hindsight I believe this to be the case.....otherwise the strattera has been good for her and we will test her liver function shortly to make sure that there is no problem with the drug and her liver.... ... Ritalin has been a godsend for me. I am 35 and have been on it for just over five months. I have not tried any other ADD meds. My doctor thinks Stratera is useless since it is not a stimulant, but he also thinks adderall is "too much speed". I was very skeptical about taking ADD meds but am now a believer. ... (14 replies)
... My son has never used Concerta but with ADD he has used Adderal and Stratera. I was told by the doc that the "H" (hyperactive) people get Ritalin type stuff. I don't know which newer drugs are being used now as he is not hyperactive. When he used Ritalin for a week or two he became hyperactive. (8 replies)

... nd the neurologist switched him to strattera. It seems exactly the same to me as Adderal was but she says it is non addictive. Anyway, those who have success on stratera might be ADD and not ADHD. These two conditions, altho they have much in common, seem to need different medications. ... (5 replies)
... Hi My son takes Strattera too and has no side effects except tiredness mid day. The only thing is that there was a warning on the news last week about it the same day they were warning about celebrex. I have not had a chance to speak with my doctor yet about this warning but you might want to ask your doctor before you begin it again. The warning was about liver damage... (14 replies)

... release medication widely being used right now. Concerta and Adderal are stimulants and Stratera is a nonstimulant. Some people love one and hate the other and different doses seem to work well for different people with no rhyme or reason as to why. ... (26 replies)

... Hello everyone. I'm 22years old, female. I started taking Strattera about 2 weeks ago. I have ADHD not to mention anxiety and slight depression (which I don't take medication for). I was prescribed Lexapro from another doctor but I didn't take it. I decided to take Strattera in hopes it will help me with work and specifically school. I've always had a problem... (38 replies)
... I didn't get frustrated and mad like that. But then again I was on Lexapro. "ADD" (whatever it is) spawns other "syndromes". Lexapro or something like it might help with the frustration. (38 replies)
... What about being frustrated? My husband is on Strattera and he gets really frustrated and impatient at times..and feels like he is going to scream... he is going to the doctor today, so we will see what happens. (38 replies)
... I went off of the strattera for a week, but I was still a zombie. I am pretty sure that I was asleep more then I was awake this past weekend. Today I started Provigil, for narcolepsy, or should I say "Excessive Daytime Sleepiness", and I am much more awake, but still a bit sleepy. We are going to wait and see what the provigil does before going back to the ADD meds such... (38 replies)
... my 13 yr old son was on 40mg then l dropped him down to 25mg.. he was a zombie. I really thought he was "gone" inside. It scared me. He no longer had a personality. I felt like I had lost him. The doctor suggested we take him off for a few weeks during the Summer to see how he did. He "came" back. It was so nice seeing him smile and play again. He did start to show... (38 replies)

... I am a 36 year old male with ADHD. I am prescribed Ritalin. At first my Doctor stated me on 10mg 2 times a day. After a month on this dose I became anti social, started smoking lots of cigaretts, and just wanted to be left alone to read. I talked to my doctor about this and we tried a lower dose. I was put on 5mg 3 times a day. This was the perfect dose that helped with my... (9 replies)

... With stattera I feel like I'm on a drug. Know what I mean? I feel drugged. And it's retarded expensive - 200 bucks a month. Sex is not enjoyable, it's a chore to finish and you get that burning sensation. Ritalin just doesn't work for me anymore and when it does I get maybe an hour of clarity. But, you have to jump through the strattera hoop before you can get something... (38 replies)

... Hello all. I want to encourage everyone to keep posting their experiences. I went from adderall to concerta to ritalin to strattera, which I am still on. 80mg per day. I found out that if I do not take strattera with food, I will have wicked heartburn. No sexual side effects. I am 6'5", 185 lbs. I am forgetfull and I procrastinate. I often forget to take my... ... how long have you been taking the adderall? if it hasn't been long then it is likely that your appetite will come back. for me, my appetite is suppressed a few hours after taking adderall,. but then it comes back (and strong) so it's not an issue for me anymore. but it was at first; i lost weight and was needing to gain as it was. i am ok now though, and not losing weight.... ... I'm a 32 year old-5'3"-116 lb female and was diagnosed with ADD 1 year ago this month, in 8/03. My main concerns was that I was very forgetful and unable to focus. In addition, I developed a contant feeling of anxiety which caused my heart to beat fast and shortness of breath. This was interferring with my ability to do my job and complete simple, daily tasks.
