... tion, they have found it works well for pain management over the long term. You do develop a dependency, but you are dependent already, so not much difference. Methadone can be a long term medication and at low doses, does not cause the high, none of the narcotic symptoms that make people abuse it like the euphoria, etc. ... (12 replies)

... im glad to hear your doing well on your taper but sorry your back is still bothering and that you want to speed things up i dont know what mgs your taking but my cold turkey experience has messed me up pretty bad still not fully back to normal on day 100 with no methadone i still feel not so normal if it's a pretty low mg maybe you could just get it over with but then again... ... fb7 don't do it cold turkey for me it was awful if you think the w/ds are bad just from weaning way til day 3 of cold turkey i've been suffering for months not physically but pyschologically it totally messed my brain up from cold turkey and this medicine stays deep inside you for awhile my physical lasted 5 weeks and they say it's from cold turkey i know it's your decision...
