Hi everyone!
I was reading the post regarding the use of benzos to help with withdrawing for opiates and I wanted to share what I was told by my DR. He said that the use of Benzos is very beneficial during the w/d process provided the patient is not using suboxone. He stated that under no circumstances should I use any type of benzo (Valium, Xanax, Ativan, Klonopin, etc.) as I could be fatal. I'm not sure the reason and I didn't ask because I don't use Benzos at all. But he was so insistent that he even wrote on my prescription "NO BENZOS while using this drug". I thought this may be of some help to someone. If anyone has any other information regarding this subject please let me know.
One week clean today and it feels SOOO good!!

It's in higher doses that one shouldn't use benzos and suboxone. For a Dr. to say you cannot use benzos and suboxone at the same time, well I don't know.

I am going to continue to take 1mg of klonopin that I've been taking for a long time, along with the suboxone. The Dr., etc. said that at this dose there are no problems with combining the two.
