Need Help
Aug 3, 2005
ok, to start off....I am 25 yrs old & have had a large hydrocodone addiction for the past 5-6 yrs....Currently I am up to about 40-50 10/500-10/650's a day....through the last few years, i have conquered my addiction to Somas & Codeine cough syrup, but the hydros are another story....I've had 3 granmaul seizures from mixing the different drugs & later found that xanax was the main reason for them(was never a big user of xanax, just something i would take if i could not get ahold of any hydros)....I dont feel it would be safe for me to just try to stop cold turkey due to the seizures I have had in the past, but todays the first day of me trying to cut my addiction in half & eventually get myself down to a level where my dependency won't be as large as it is right now & then maybe i could just stop ct....

Besides that, i also have a girlfriend who is addicted to hydros & her addiction has grown to a crazy amount, she is popping around 70 a day....anyways, last night we got into an arguement because she is deadset on trying to get off of them(which i support 1,000%), but she wants to use xanax for help with the WDs....due to my past seizures, i flipped out on her & told her i would never support her trying it this way....if it werent for fate, i most likely wouldve died in the case of my 1st & 3rd seizure if it wasnt for just 1 person fortunately being in the place i was when 9 times out of 10 i wouldve been alone....
question is...Should I stop thinking about what happened to me when i took xanax & think about the possibility that she could kick the habit with the help of them? I told her to go see a doctor, but she wants to try it on her own first....with all the unfortunate experiences i have read from many different people on this forum that have/had the same addiction, i figured this would be the best place to turn to for help at this time....

thanks-
Craig

The sad truth is that
you and your friend will
be dead soon if you both don't
find help (DR. would be my advice.)

Forget the xanax this and xanax that.
You both need to seek help from a doctor
soon.
