Re: Oc Withdrawal

I take Oxy for chronic pain to and I would not call myself a drug addict. As long as you are taking it as directed and not snorting it or chewing it I would not say your not addicted to it, but you are " dependent" on it for your pain issues. I don't agree with your parents and family members. Living with contstant back pain is no fun and they are not being reasonable here. Perhaps you should take them with you to your Dr so the Dr can expain to them that you are not a drug addict. that is just plain not the case. ( unless you are taking more than prescribed and not taking it correctly)Oxycontin is a good medication is used properly and I do feel that it is less addictive than Vicadin and percocet as the shorter acting meds give you the buzz people with chronic pain should not have to suffer like I did for so long. Please don't stop the medication just because your family members are on your a-- about it, that is cruel of them. How old are you that you have to please your family members and do this for them? I would be very careful stopping the medication without talking to your Dr.

good luck, be careful you will have W/D'S if you lower your dose to fast.
