hi lisa !!! im so happy to see that you want to get clean !! how wonderful !!!
posting here will help you get a lot off your chest, and there are many here who have a lot of great advice and hope.
do you get them from a doctor? if so, then talk to your doc about this. i promise he will be understanding. and he will help you taper off of them. if not a doctor, then do you have the resources or insurance to go to a detox? that would be your best bet. also you could taper down slowly until you are off of them. this takes a lot of patience and discipline. and last but certainly not least, you could try suboxone, it will eliminate any w/d symptoms that you might experience, but the thing about sub is that it allows you to seek help, therapy and learn to live in sobriety while you are taking it. you will not get high off of it and you wont be able to get high while you are taking it. eventually, when the time is right, and your brain has had a chance to heal, you will have to slowly taper off of the sub too.
im not sure how you want to do this, its your choice. but no matter what , we will be here to help you throught this.
congratulations on your first step toward sobriety !!!

take care,

hugs, michelle
