... you really need to do this under a DR'S care. when my Dr put me on this drug for sleeping problems he told me it is very hard to get off of, but I chose to take it as it is the only thing that works for me. I have never abused it as I HATE the way it makes me feel. I take 1mg a day and can't even really walk well on the stuff, its so strong. I take 1 pill and sleep for 9 hours... (8 replies)

... Hi Vickie, Xanax can be a great med for people who take it only very occasionally or for a very short period of time due to a major life event. Taking it every day sets us up for major trouble pretty quickly. Like you, I had a doctor who just gave me plenty of it for "anxeity". She didn't believe me when I said I was physically addicted. ... The cuts caused such anxiety in me that I judged the time until the anxiety by the anxiety coming down. The achiness and headaches were just a standard deal all the time, even for a while after I finished. I selfdom considered them in my own equation in coming down. ... (8 replies)
