... DJChris, I just went through Ultra Rapid Detox 28 days ago. I am finally feeling better. ALMOST HUMAN AGAIN! I, like you, was taking Oxycontin, about 120mgs daily. Last March, I was put on Suboxone (Buprenorphine) to try and detox slowly over time. By October, I had tapered to a 2.5 mg pill but, for me, I couln't stop. When I tried going "cold turkey", I went into... (9 replies)
... I am scheduled for tomorrow to go for the Buprenorphine Detoxification. Rapid Detox is to exspensive. Although I will push to Rapid detox with Buprenorphine if the doctor agrees. I have the will power not to go back and just to go forward. I made that promise to myself for myself. ... (9 replies)
... Hi guys and gals.. ... i'm talking about a fictional person when i say the following: i decided to stop taking buprenorphine because, well, i need to be 100% drug free... so, i went from 8mg twice/day to 1mg twice/day--this was after 2 years of taking bupe to get off hydros. it wasn't so bad at first. i'm keeping a journal of every day. but, it is now day 14, and i feel worse than i ever... ... Jenny, the best way to detox (at least what has worked for me) is to use Subutex, which unlike Suboxone, does not have Naloxone. Naloxone is used when someone overdoses in emergency rooms. It will clear the opiate receptors out of any opiates. The problem with Suboxone is that as you try to taper down and you want to cut the tablets, you can't get a proportionate amount of... ... Hello all who read this. Just introducing myself and describing the nightmare I have been through as a result of addiction to drugs in general (I've been addicted to almost all the street drugs available here in the UK and far too many pharmaceutical substances for all of my adult, and a large chunk of my teenage, life), and in particular, opiates/oids. Two years ago I had... (11 replies)
... I was on the buprenorphine for 8 mos back in '02 & '03. I experienced the worst withdrawals imaginable and they lasted forever- check out my earlier posts. The bup did little for the pain, and it is certainly addictive even if it does have a cieling. I could not get high like with the oxy but I sure tried. So WHAT was the point in switching one bad habit for an even worse... (33 replies)
... QUOTE<< When I tried going "cold turkey", I went into withdrawls for five days, with no help from anyone but my husband. (No clonodine for w/d's, etc.) Had to resume the Suboxone. You may be different than me; you may be able to do the taper. Others here have successfully. But it seems to me (and this is not scientific) that more people end up "maintaining" on it, like... ... DJchriscap, Welcome & Congratulations! You came to the right place. I am very new here also. Suboxone/Buprenorphine has helped me tremendously. And I think many people here will agree. I was in full W/D 20 hours after my last handful of Norco (Hydrocodone). I took my first 4mgs of Suboxone, and within 30 minutes I had no physical W/D symptoms. Type 'Sub' or... (9 replies)
