... I've taken both,and this is just ONE experience. Neurontin did nothing for me....was like a sugar pill. I took Buspar during a particularly distressing period in my life,and it was fairly effective at keeping me calm and focused,without being intrusive into my daily activities...takes a couple of days-2 weeks to kick in. Gabapentin is an anticonvulsant, also used off label for many different disorders including a mood stabilizer, an antianxiety medication, and for different types of pain especially nerve pain. ... I, in my opinion, swear by Neurotrin. I take a high dose as a mood stabilizer, anyway. It seems to cut my withdrawls down by 90%. It is the only way I can make it through withdrawling. The one bad thing is it causes my speaking to become slurred. BTW, I am withdrawling from Oxys, not Benzos, but I wanted to add my experience. It seems to really work on some people and... ... e. I hope you are doing well. I recently went from 12 percocets a day to cold turkey and that was not easy. Knowing percocets most of my life, I minimized the withdrawal by eating toasted bread and tea, the less you eat in withdrawal stages the less the symptoms are. ... (14 replies)
