I've considered using an anti-depressant (like Zoloft or Paxil) but my therapist told me that it's not necessary and that I should try natural alternatives (vitamins and minerals and exercise and diet etc.) I have to say that things are improving somewhat, and I'm not a complete nervous wreck all the time, but I just feel so awkward in my own skin, and I'm just realizing all... HEY, i am currently on TRAZODONE, and am on the same MG, 50 MG.. sometimes i actually may only take half of a pill, 25mg, and it puts me to sleep... but, the trazodone for me doesnt really work much for depression.... this medication is a SLEEP AID at low dosages... it only works as a anti-depressant at VERY HIGH DOES.. like 150 mg OR MORE!! the side effect that really bothers... ... Hi -- About trazadone -- it's very effective for knocking you out and helping you sleep. And it's an non-addictive anti-depressant. I think I was given one of the very first prescriptions in the U.S. I too was told it was safe and non-addictive. It is a double wammy when it comes to withdrawal because it is a pain killer...
