Once again, I lapsed and am day 3 without anything, and turning the corner. ... If you have chronic pain, its not as easy as being taken off of a med, especially one taken for a long period. If the pain has gone away, you can worry then about getting off the painkiller. You can not go cold turkey. While others will disagree, deal with one issue at a time, if your pain can be managed with what you are on, what do u think will happen when u are off it..?... ... ill or so. And, if you could get a script for some type of anxiety med, that would help a lot....Especially at night to help you sleep. I bet when you take the Norco at night, it calms you and you sleep well. Anxiety meds are perfectly fine to take long term if needed, or you could ween from those as well... ... (5 replies)

... newcase - i totally understand chronic pain. i suffer from migraines and DDD (degenerative disk disease)... and im only 35. my migraines don't response to imitrex type drugs so i have to rely on fioracet (no addiction issues there) and percocet 10/325 - which is where my issues are.
