... I have been in your exact position. Don't go cold turkey, and in my opinion, tapering does not work. If you cant go to rehab, go to an MD. As far as how to get off there are many ways that people choose to...some go cold turkey, some taper, some go to a detox center, inpatient rehab, some choose opiate replacement therapy with drugs such as Suboxone, Subutex.... I am currently on Norco aswell and 80mgs Oxycontin 3 times a day, and the Norco which are 10/325 (10 Hydrocodone, 325 Tylenol) I take two, three times a day. and If I dont take my meds for even 18 hours it starts getting bad, and if I wait like 48 to 72 hours its a living hell!!
