... t ways. For instance, I recently read where some DR. posted on his website that Benzos were the HARDEST drug to withdraw from. That is a pretty blanket statement and pretty irresponsible as far as I'm concerned. They maybe for many people, but certainly not me, and I am guessing others as well. ... (16 replies)

... I came off Xanax and Oxycodone. My plan with my doctors actually was oppostie from yours... off the opiate first and then from the benzo. Truthfully, although we each must work out the plan that is best for us, coming off the opiate first seems more logical to me. ... (4 replies)
... If anything those meds would help you taper, as they help with insomnia and anxiety, two of the worst opioid withdrawal symptoms for me. Of course if you are already assimilated to those dosages, it might not make much difference. DO NOT attempt to taper off those alone though. ... (4 replies)

I actually was given Depakote for a couple of weeks... maybe even a few weeks, when a wonderful, older psychiatrist was getting me off xanax and percocet many years ago when I was in major clinical depresssion. ... b sticking with OTC cough medicine!.. a good, positive action against addictive thinking. I don't know if you have started sneezing a lot, but that is a sign of withdrawal as we get to lower and lower doses. It is the respiratory system on the mend. ... (2 replies)
